The process of refunding postage paid where certificate has been changed to ‘Email’ delivery method (or where complimentary refund of postage is to be applied).

Go to Certificate>Payment tab

We can see a certificate was paid $55 + $5 postage that can be refunded. Now we must change delivery method to ‘Email’ in order to refund postage paid.

Go to ‘Payment’ tab 

We can see that the refund of -$5 is automatically loaded to the amount field in anticipation of postage refund (if not enter -$ relevant to postage amount to process refund), because the certificate has been changed to the ‘Email’ delivery method.

Process Refund

Make sure to verify the payment type to be used; then click ‘Make Payment’ to process refund using the appropriate payment type.

Then refund has been processed for postage only and the value of certificate has not changed. The refund for postage paid is complete and certificate can be emailed to guest if need be. See Resending a gift certificate for more detail.
