Gift Vouchers Across a Group
Where several businesses are managed as a group, a gift voucher bought at one business can be redeemed at any of the others. A voucher sold at one venue is spendable at the others without staff having to arrange anything between sites.
For an operator running several venues this means one voucher scheme rather than one per site, and for the person given the voucher it removes the condition that it can only be used where it was bought.
Contact Netbookings for more information about business group setup.
How redemption works across the group

- Go To Search menu
- Select Voucher sub menu
- Click ‘Options’ button to reveal switches
- Select ‘All Companies’ switch to search all businesses in group for a voucher (note we are currently in Business 2 of group)
- Enter Voucher number for other business in group
- Click on result from search to go voucher in other business

Now we have been taken to voucher from Business 1 in group. By selecting the voucher from other business, it will take us to the voucher in other business in this case Accommodation Business 1.
Part-redemption
Vouchers can be partly redeemed, with the balance left for later. The remaining value shows on the guest’s record under the Gifts tab of their Guest Booking History, so whoever is serving them can see what is left (See Guest Booking History for more information).
Where The Value Is Accounted

The redeemed value lands where the redeeming voucher is used and not where the voucher is created. Transaction will show in Reports>Financial>Transaction by Account for example, given the transaction occurred in the business where booking takes place, not where the voucher was created in the group of businesses. In this case Accommodation Business 2 (not where voucher was created in group).

However, payment of where the original voucher was created will show in business of origin. In this case Accommodation Business 1 (where voucher was created in group).
