Promotions are used to provide detail about what type of passes are being generated under Passes menu (see also Packages for Passes). Could be promotion titled ‘Complimentary’ for passes business uses to promote themselves, or ‘Conference’ for coming up events where promotional passes are being supplied to attendees and more. 

Go to System>POS>Promotions

In this example we will select existing Promotion ‘Complimentary’ from list.

The promotion can have a limited time frame for when it can apply to a pass. A pre-selection drop menu or custom date range can be entered. Without time limit – the passes can be used at any point into the future (as long as the package continues to exist). 

Proceed to Passes menu to generate passes using new or existing promotion.
