Tariffs

A tariff is a way for businesses to assign pricing on a day-to-day basis.

Keep it simple. As good practice, the fewer the tariffs the easier it is for staff to program and maintain Netbookings. New tariffs should only be made on the initial set up of the business, or when you intend on having an automatic price change on a particular date. It is important to note the relationship between Tariff Setup, Pricing Setup and Calendar Setup to ensure Tariffs are applied to Calendar. The steps are:

  1. Setup a Tariff.
  2. Add values to Tariff in Pricing Groups relevant for booking types (Accommodation, Bathing etc.).
  3. Adjust Tariffs in Calendar Setup to apply new Tariffs where needed.

Click ‘Tariff Setup’

Navigate to System > Setup > Tariff Setup.

Click ‘New’

Click ‘New’ to create a new tariff located on the top left of the window.

Customise Your Tariff

Make sure the ‘Active’ box is ticked, make all changes, then click the ‘Save’ button on the top left.

If you wish to change the colour of your tariff to better identify it, this is done by clicking on the colour box in the top right corner. This is purely cosmetic and for self-organisation.

Enter Tariff values in Pricing Setup

Go to System>Setup>Pricing Setup

Click Accommodation listings to update Tariff prices

Scroll down to ‘Pricing’ panel and enter ‘Room Rate’ and ‘Guests Included’ for new Tariff created ‘Weekend Low’

Note: Apply new values to all Accommodation ‘Pricing Groups’, otherwise you won’t be able to change Tariffs in ‘Calendar Setup’.

Adjust Tariffs in ‘Calendar Setup

Go to System>Setup>Calendar Setup

Select Tariff from drop box for days you wish to apply it. In this case a ‘Weekend Low’ Tariff to apply to Weekends during the low season. These are manually selected for each weekend and month as far into the future as you see fit.

The colour applied to the day will indicate the new Tariffs applied.
